As we heard rumors before, Samsung is preparing an augmented reality headset not too unlike the Google Glass. So says Eldar Murtazin.

Google Glass isn't available yet, but it has been distributed to a few people, and there are plenty of videos showing what it can do.

In a nutshell, it augments your life by acting like a phone, enabling video calls, displaying information about landmarks you happen to be watching, recognizing writing when it sees it (like, say, from newspaper clippings and posters), taking photos, shooting video, etc.

Samsung wants to launch something similar in spring. There will be a Samsung Unpacked Event in April or May.

It will still give Google Glass a head start (a consumer version may debut before the year is out actually), but it's better than nothing.
