VoIP communication is becoming more popular

According to the latest surveys and market studies, the VoIP technology is rapidly growing and it will soon be a feasible alternative to classic telephony.

According to information provided by In-Stat, in the next four years VoIP solutions will improve continuously and offer more stability and security. More and more operators and internet service providers will include in their offers VoIP communication solutions, and until 2009 this technology will be an important pawn in the telephony domain.

The adoption rate of the new technology depends only on its success and on the public, these factors determining the investment volumes, the regulations, and the price policies.

Each operator that takes into consideration the development of a NGN solution will have its own development strategy which will depend on the financial conditions.

For the period to come, IDC specialists agree that 2005 will be a decisive year for the VoIP technology. William Stofega, and analyst within International Data Corporation, believes that operators will be forced to develop strategies and applications for VoIP that will be put into practice when costs will not be the only factor dictating the market orientation.
