The Tomb Raider reboot released by Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics on March 5 has been a huge success, as the two companies have just revealed some impressive statistics from the game, showing that over 3.5 million tombs have been raided and that more than 147 million enemies have been killed with a bow.

Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics released the new Tomb Raider game earlier this month and have since revealed that millions of players had embarked on the new journey of protagonist Lara Croft, which emphasized survival and combat besides the traditional exploration and puzzle solving.

Now, after a few weeks since the game's launch, the two companies have decided to reveal a few interesting statistics from the new game, as charted by the special metric systems implemented inside the actual title.

"Watching gamers all around the world play the game you've been working hard on for many years is always going to be a nerve-racking experience. Thanks to a huge network of servers, genius programmers, and expert metric analysts, we have the tools needed to paint a picture of how people are playing our games," Square Enix wrote on its blog.

"On Tomb Raider's launch day we were on tenterhooks; staring at a giant monitor as the first few people jumped into the game and the live statistics appeared. And boy, was it like opening the floodgates."

Lara's first actual kill in the game is inflicted upon a deer and it seems that the community quickly started developing a taste for animal flesh, as almost 5.3 million deer have been killed since the game came out.

Fans also started hunting crabs, as over 1.4 million tiny creatures have been killed, earning players a special achievement in the process.

"But killing deer and eating crab cakes isn't what makes Lara a survivor. Together you've taken everything that's thrown at you, escaping the clutches of death, delivering Lara to safety so she can fight another day. Lara has had 13,742,891 close calls and you've outwitted your enemies by dodging them 11,067,764 times," the company said.

Lara wasn't afraid of taking on enemies, as over 147 million opponents have been killed with a bow, while players managed to scavenge over 356 million arrows from their bodies.

Last but not least, Square Enix also highlighted that over 3.5 million tombs have been raided in the new game.
