The SpaceX Dragon space capsule arrived on the International Space Station on Friday, May 25, carrying 520 kilograms (1,100 pounds) of cargo. Expedition 31 astronauts snapped this image of the spacecraft's insides soon after the latter docked to the orbital lab.

European Space Agency astronaut and flight engineer Andre Kuipers snapped an image of the capsule's interior, demonstrating how roomy the vehicle is. Hawthorne, California-based Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SpaceX) is also developing a manned version of the vehicle.

The latter will be able to carry up to seven astronauts to low-Earth orbit, its specifications chart shows. Until that happens, the unmanned Dragon needs to conduct 12 resupply flights to the ISS for NASA, without counting this one.

The current mission will come to an end tomorrow, May 31, when the vehicle is undocked from the orbital lab using the Canadarm-2 robotic arm and then reenter Earth's atmosphere, heading for a landing site in the Pacific Ocean.
