Ilium Software has announced recently that it intends to offer support for the upcoming Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system. The company plans to make its entire series of award-winning mobile applications available for the users of the platform through the Windows Marketplace for Mobile, including in the list the eWallet, an electronic wallet program designed to store personal and business information, ListPro, a mobile list manager, and NewsBreak, an RSS reader solution that comes with integrated support for podcasts.

The company has a long history of developing applications that benefit from the capabilities of the Windows Mobile-based devices. At the same time, its software solutions are also able to deliver the ease of use, flexibility and functionality that turned them into successful solutions from the moment they were released. In addition, the company says, its products still are some of the most popular applications used by the owners of Windows Mobile-based handsets.

“We really value the applications Ilium Software has brought to Windows Mobile since the first release of our mobile operating system,” said Steve Hegenderfer, group product manager for Windows Mobile at Microsoft Corp. “Their longstanding support for the Windows Mobile platform, and their participation in Windows Marketplace for Mobile further provides consumers and mobile professionals with rich experiences on their mobile devices.”

Ilium Software was founded in 1997 as a privately held, independent software vendor. It offers a series of award-winning consumer and business mobile applications developed for Windows-powered mobile phones and PCs, including eWallet, ListPro, NewsBreak, DockWare and Keep Track. The complete list of the company's products can be found on its website.

“It’s great to see that Microsoft is further engaging with the Windows Mobile developer community as part of Windows Mobile 6.5,” says Ken Morse, president and CEO of Ilium Software. “Windows Marketplace for Mobile will be an excellent way for users to easily find valuable Windows Mobile applications.”
