There are many ways one can use a display, and it looks like Ideum employed one not encountered all that often in its making of a certain product dubbed MT55, essentially a Full HD table.

Table systems aren't that often released, but they definitely can bring many benefits in terms of multitasking, collaborative work or overall productivity.

The MT55 is one such product, having been developed by Ideum and equipped with quite high-end specifications and a fair amount of touch points.

The display is, obviously, the most relevant component and the one part that will stand out most.

Measuring 55 inches in diagonal, it has a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, which will enable much to fit on the single display area.

The screen also has up to 32 simultaneous touch points and, while this does not reach the 50 and 100 that its 100-inch sibling boasts, will allow many hands to work on it at once.

What's more, the 5mm layer of tempered, sturdy glass makes sure the panel does not suffer from wear too easily.

As for the hardware, it is packed in the so-called pedestal that the table sits on and revolves around a quad-core Intel Core i7 central processing unit.

4GB of RAM complement whatever chip is used, while an NVIDIA Quadro 600 video card handles the graphics side of things.

What's more, the newcomer features not one but two SATA hard drives, each with a capacity of 250 GB.

Finally, the GestureWorks multitouch software makes it work smoothly under both Flash and Flex, while Windows 7 Professional handles everything else.

"A large, maintenance-free, all-in-one solution is what our customers have been asking for," said Jim Spadaccini, Director of Ideum.

"The MT55 HD–which comes with a huge LCD display, a full warranty, and integrated software and is a complete package that cannot be found anywhere else."
