One of the many Facebook-oriented handsets that are expected to make it on the market in 2011 is about make its debut in Canada. Manufactured by INQ, the Cloud Touch will soon be available for purchase via Koodo Mobile, Telus' sub-brand.

Although Koodo is only a regional carrier, it is highly likely that the Cloud Touch will arrive in Telus' stores soon after the device is making its debut at Koodo Mobile.

Unveiled earlier this year at the 2011 Mobile World Congress, INQ's Cloud Touch is one of the first Facebook phones available on the market.

However, the U.K.-based handset manufacturer plans to release its second Facebook-centric device next month, though details about Cloud Q's release date are unknown for the moment.

Specs-wise, the Cloud Touch comes with a 3.5-inch HGVA capacitive multi-touch screen with 262k colors support and 320 x 480 pixels resolution.

The phone features a standard bar form factor, just like its Cloud Q twin brother. It only packs 4MB of internal memory, but also features a microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 8GB).

However, as INQ suggests, the phone will be delivered with a 2GB microSD memory card in the sales package to make things easier at the start.

Even though the phone targets social media fans, the INQ Cloud Touch is only an entry-level smartphone.

Equipped with a Qualcomm MSM 7227 600 MHz processor, the sleek phone is powered by Android 2.2 Froyo.

When it comes to software, the Cloud Touch is one of the first phones to use the Facebook social graph API, which enables users to follow updates from the friends they interact with the most.

In addition, with the new Facebook app, users will be provided with live feeds on the home screen and one-touch links to Chat, Friends, Messages, Wall and Notifications.

INQ Cloud Touch is expected to arrive at Koodo Mobile in the next few days and will be available for purchase for $200 or $50 on the Tab.
