Wargames is definitely a movie that have inspired a whole generation of computer geeks, and now fans of this classic title have the chance of owning the IMSAI 8080 system used on the set of this movie as it will soon be auctioned by Christie's of London.

This piece of computer history was powered by an all new (back then) Intel 8080 8-bit processor running at a whopping speed of 3.1MHz and able to access up to 64 KB of RAM.

This represented four times more than the Intel 8008 it replaced and was one of the CPUs that helped Intel become the chip giant we all know it to be nowadays.

When it will go on auction on November 24, the IMSAI 8080 will start at $25,000 as it's considered to be one of the top 5 movie computers of all time and the only one to make it a commercial product.

Sadly, the high-speed (1200 baud!) data link and the 8 inch floppy drive that also made their on-screen debut with the IMSAI 8080 in Wargames are not part of the action.
