Made official back in June, this was one of the various new mobile phones that Samsung decided to launch in the S4 family of handsets, packing IP67 certification, as it can resist to being submerged in one meter of water for about 30 minutes.

The specs list of the smartphone in quite appealing, as it comes with a 5-inch full HD touchscreen display, as well as with a 1.9GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor packed inside.

Furthermore, the handset features 2GB of RAM inside, along with 16GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of additional storage space.

On the back, the mobile phone sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper, which can shoot full HD videos, and which also comes with a special Aqua mode, enabling users to record clips even when underwater.

The same as on Galaxy S4 and on other new smartphones out there, the mobile phone also comes with a front camera that enables users to make video calls.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Active packs the entire range of usual connectivity options, such as WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS receiver, NFC, and microUSB port.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy S4 Active with Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top, though it should provide users with an upgrade to the newer Android 4.3 platform as soon as possible.

Powered by a Li-Ion 2600 mAh battery, the handset was announced in different color flavors, and also sports a nice range of exclusive applications and software features coming from Samsung themselves.
