Samsung Galaxy Note 3 isn’t larger than the previous model as expected; instead, it’s sleeker and lighter and has kept the same width.

Although the phone was rumored to feature a 6-inch display, Samsung decided to go with a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution.

There’s no mention of Corning Gorilla Glass, so we must assume it won’t be packed on the Galaxy Note 3. The smartphone measures 151.2 x 79.2 x 8.3mm and weighs only 168g (battery included).

The Galaxy Note 3 is the only one that offers LTE cat 4 technology that brings even more speed to users. According to JK Shin, the phablet supports all LTE bands available worldwide.

Hardware-wise, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 comes equipped with either a 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor or a 1.9 GHz octa-core CPU. The selection of chipsets will be differed by markets.

The 13-megapixel main camera features BSI Sensor, autofocus with Smart Stabilization, LED flashlight with the highest CRI, and Zero Shutter Lag. The main camera can record full HD videos at 60fps, while the 2-megapixel front-facing camera is perfect for video calls and self-portraits and can capture full HD videos at 30fps.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 comes with 3GB of RAM and either 32GB or 64GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card slot.

When it comes to connectivity, the Galaxy Note 3 is an all-rounder. It comes packed with Wi-Fi, GPS with GLONASS support, Bluetooth, NFC, IR LED, and MHL 2.0.

Last but not least, Android fans will be happy to know Samsung included a brand new S Pen, which offers significantly improved features.

A simple click of the S Pen button while hovering over the screen brings up a contextual menu called Air Command, which features five powerful functions: Action Memo, Scrapbook, Screen Writer, S Finder, and Pen Window.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be available for purchase in Jet Black, Classic White, and Blush Pink, beginning September 25 in 149 countries. It will be available in Japan and the United States on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, and U.S. Cellular in October.
