At the closed event that ASUS held prior to the actual start of the IFA 2012 trade show in Berlin, Germany, the company revealed its two Windows 8 tablets.

The Vivo Tab is the Intel-based slate running Windows 8. It measures 11.6 inches in diagonal and comes with a mobile dock (keyboard, extra battery) and a Wacom digitizer stylus.

The LCD display benefits from the Super-IPS technology, leading to viewing angles of 178 degrees (horizontal and vertical).

The Vivo Tab RT, the other tablet, runs the ARM-compatible iteration of Microsoft’s operating system and measures 10.1 inches, though its panel is also of the Super IPS+ type.

This product features an 8-megapixel camera (on the back) plus the ASUS SonicMaster audio technology.

You’ll find some photos we managed to squeeze while there, as well as the specifications, in the gallery below.
