At this year's IFA show in Berlin, Samsung came with a bag full of new devices, and the Samsung Galaxy S II LTE was one of them.

Announced only a few days ago as the successor of Galaxy S II, the new smartphone fell into Softpedia's hands at IFA 2011, and the photos attached to this article are proof of that.

The new mobile phone packs slightly upgraded hardware specifications when compared to the already highly popular Android-based device, including a large screen at 4.5 inches.

The Super AMOLED Plus display on this device can deliver a 480 x 800 pixels resolution, the same as the one on Galaxy S II, even if it is 0.2 inches larger.

The new Galaxy S II also comes with a dual-core application processor inside, with each core clocked in at 1.2GHz, complemented by 1GB of RAM to enable increased performance capabilities.

Moreover, the new device sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with LED flash and support for HD video recording, and can deliver video calling feature courtesy of its 2MP camera on the front.

Samsung also packed the Galaxy S II LTE with 16 GB of internal memory, and with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

At the same time, the new smartphone offers support for 4G LTE and HSDPA, 21 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, and Wi-Fi hotspot, along with microUSB and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Among the other features that Samsung included in the new Galaxy S II LTE, we can count a GPS receiver with support for Google Maps and other location services, Gyroscope, Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, and more.

The mobile phone is powered by Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and sports the TouchWiz UI from Samsung on top of it.

It also enables users to find and download applications and games via the Android Market, as well as to enjoy a wide variety of Google Mobile Services, including Search, Calendar, YouTube, Gmail, and more.
