Just have a look at Firefox's sweet ride

It's all over for Microsoft! Mozilla has taken the browser face-off with the Redmond company to the next level. At this point, Internet Explorer can actually bite Firefox's dust. Just feast your eyes on the sweet ride that Mozilla Firefox got. Microsoft's Internet Explorer is in this context heading the right way to become nothing more than roadkill. The Firefox Toyota Celica gives a whole different dimension and meaning to the race between Internet Explorer and Mozilla's open source browser. And as of yet, Microsoft has failed to respond to Mozilla with a similar initiative. However, by the looks of it, Mozilla has taken the lead, at least when it comes to custom cars.

The Firefox Toyota Celica was debuted at the Mozilla 24 "Firefox Rock Festival" in Tokyo. On September 15, in Japan, the rock festival celebrated all things Firefox. And without a doubt, the Firefox ride grabbed a whole lot of attention, even if it wasn't the main attraction of the show. But how could it, with Firefox grabbing all the limelight? Mozilla's open source browser has taken center stage at the "Firefox Rock Festival", and much to the disarray of Microsoft, Internet Explorer was nowhere to be seen.

It's not like IE is not a heavy drinker, or a party animal. By all means, Internet Explorer is known to have gone wild and over the top in the past with all sorts of freak security vulnerabilities. But to put it simply, IE would just stand out of the crowd at a Firefox shindig. And besides, an Internet Explorer customized car would have probably crashed before getting to the "Firefox Rock Festival." Right, that was a tad uncalled for, but still...

The custom-built Firefox Celica will make another appearance at the largest car show in Japan, scheduled to take place by the end of September in Nagoya. But while the custom Firefox ride will blow its competitors out of the road, things are a little different on the browser market. Here, IE has the lead with approximately 80% of the market, while Firefox is trailing it at a distance with a share of almost 15%. When it comes down to actual browser versions, Microsoft occupies the first two positions with IE6 - 44.5% and IE7 with 33.5%, while Firefox 2.0 is third with a market share of 13%.
