Singer Michelle Williams, who rose to fame with the biggest girl group of all times, is speaking out about her stint on the British television show Strictly Come Dancing, revealing that, unlike other women, she was terrified of losing weight.

Williams, who has always been very fit and toned, reveals in the latest issue of Heat magazine that, while other female stars want to get on a dancing show like Strictly to lose weight (like Kelly Osbourne on DWTS), she was desperate not to shed a pound.

As the singer puts it, she’s always been very skinny and always making sure she did not lose any more weight – but also, at the same time, making sure her workouts did not make her too muscular.

Consequently, when she started training for the popular BBC show, she knew she had to eat more to make sure she didn’t get any thinner. As a result, she succeeded in her efforts – and became even more toned than before.

“I was hoping not to lose too much weight. I’ve toned up, though. Now there’s no more weight on me that I could lose!” Williams says for Heat.

“My metabolism has changed. It burns food quicker these days. I’m 120 pounds, but yes, I’m too skinny. I’ve always been like that. Growing up, I was so skinny – I was always skinny, skinny, skinny,” the singer reveals.

Now, she’s on a mission to gain some weight (she says her ideal woman is Halle Berry: fit but with curves) so she’s ditching her diet and turning her attention to women’s worst enemies, carbs and red meat.

“I’ve always wanted to be a little bigger, so now I’m eating lots of pasta and rice. I want to gain weight,” Williams says.

“I was on a leaner diet of fish, chicken and turkey. I need some steak! I’ve lost too much weight on my diet. I’d like to have a figure like Halle Berry’s,” the singer explains.

Michelle Williams was eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing a few days ago, on November 14. Next year, she’ll be releasing a brand new solo album.
