One might imagine that getting to kiss Megan Fox, reportedly one (if not actually the) hottest woman in showbiz right now, is the closest thing to a dream come true. As it happens, her co-star in the upcoming horror comedy “Jennifer’s Body,” Amanda Seyfried, did not really feel that way, since she knew it was only a marketing tool meant to push the film to make headlines, as ContactMusic can confirm.

What’s even worse than knowing that, to some extent, the scene truly had little relevance for the film as a whole, was that Seyfried also knew both she and Fox would have to sell the story time and time again to the media to promote the film, which is precisely how it happened. And, even if she’s still talking about it, Amanda wants people to know that, no matter what they see on the screen, neither she nor Megan were truly that happy about the idea so they went along with it just because they knew they had no other choice.

“We knew that it was going to play a really big role in publicizing the movie. We kind of rolled our eyes at the idea of having to make out.” ContactMusic quotes Amanda as saying. As it’s already well known, in “Jennifer’s Body,” Fox plays the most gorgeous cheerleader in high school, while Seyfriend is, of course, the less good looking best friend. Unfortunately for Amanda’s character, the cheerleader moonlights as a demon who kills boys and she has her eyes set on someone Amanda fancies, which is where trouble starts.

Speaking of killing boys, just a few days ago, Fox shot a faux-PSA on bullying in high school, which ultimately was also meant to promote the horror flick. In it, the actress was saying that all those who are told off by meanies should suck it up and learn to be themselves no matter the cost, even if that meant killing and then eating the troublesome boys.

“Every year, thousands of kids entering our high schools, succumbing to terrible peer pressure. Let’s face it, high school can be tough and kids can be cruel. Picking on others for just being different. “Well, I say [expletive] ‘em cuz they don’t know [expletive]. What really matters is being yourself and if that includes slowly killing and then eating every boy at your school, then I say do it. Because nothing’s more important than just being who you are.” Megan was saying into the camera.

“Jennifer’s Body” is slated for theatrical release on September 18.
