Microsoft is all about future technologies these days at the TechForum event, so the company is rolling out all kinds of predictions regarding the next decade.

Microsoft President of the Xbox Interactive Entertainment Business, Don Mattrick, made a statement which, if it comes true, might change our world in a planet full of robots.

He said that wearable tech will grow a lot in the upcoming years, so we’re all going to wear at least 10 sensors that will interact with surrounding technologies in order to make our lives easier.

“My personal belief, 10 years from now, we'll be wearing 10 sensors on our body collecting data and applying that data to things that are valuable to us as users,” he was quoted as saying by The Verge.

While Mattrick hasn’t provided any information on possible projects to be released by the Redmond-based technology giant, he did mention that he’s very excited about innovative technologies such as next-gen sensors, large screens and intelligence.

According to the same source, the company already has some new projects in the pipeline, including a wrist-worn heart rate monitor, Kinect Glasses and other technologies based on Kinect.

Microsoft has recently rolled out its new vision of the future, predicting that large touchscreens would basically be all around us in the next decade.

Most devices would synchronize data to provide a seamless experience no matter where you are, while new technologies would make socializing and communication extremely simple.

A touch-optimized ecosystem would comprise large panels that could be installed on house walls and featuring Kinect technology to detect gestures and thus act accordingly.

As usual, Microsoft prefers to remain tight-lipped on future projects, but it’s pretty clear that something truly innovative is going to see daylight in the Redmond campus in the upcoming years.
