Since technological standards are always advancing, and with consumers being as fond of the 'new' as they are, companies have to periodically update their product lineups, and I-O Data decided it was time to once more expand its own collection of LCDs with a new widescreen liquid crystal display solution known as LCD-MF271XBR.

In order to appeal to the widest consumer base as possible, the Japanese company was mindful of not only the performance but also the aesthetic value and overall functionality that it conferred upon its latest creation.

For one, the monitor has a panel with a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, which naturally means that it supports Full HD multimedia playback and gaming at high graphical settings.

Another advantage of the device is its stand, which comes with tilt, swivel and height adjustments, adding a fair bit of comfort and, thus, enhancing productivity and enjoyment of media and games.

For those interested in numbers, the widescreen monitor has a Dynamic Contrast Ratio of 30,000:1 (1,000:1 contrast ratio) and a response time of 2ms, in addition to a maximum brightness of 330 cd/m2 and even a pair of built-in 1.5W speakers, meant to remove, in tandem with the 3.5mm audio jack, the need for additional sound solutions.

The LCD-MF271XBR is, all in all, described as a product that can perform just as well in any sort of scenario, whether it be for gaming, video playing or just basic web browsing and office tasks.

For compatibility with a wide range of host PCs, I-O Data outfitted its 27-inch LCD-MF271XBR with Du-Sub, DVI and HDMI connectors.

Unfortunately, the company was not altogether generous when it came to pricing and availability details, disclosing only that shipments will begin, in Japan at least, later this month, at a price that has remained unspecified.
