The LCD-MF225XBR2 is a full HD display with otherwise standard features

When you say a monitor is “normal,” you may as well call it “plain” and uninteresting. It's a death sentence, marketing-wise, and why even the dullest of them have at least one saving grace, usually.

For the I-O Data LCD-MF225XBR2, that saving grace is the Low Blue Light technology, which lets users choose between five levels of reduction.

The blue light in the RGB spectrum, you see, is responsible for the eye fatigue you suffer after watching a screen for a while. Well, that and the flicker, but the latter isn't something that I-O Data tackled this time.

The LCD-MF225XBR2 can even deactivate the low blue light feature if you want, since the reduced intensity affects the quality of the image, the color saturation as it were.

That said, the rest of the specs are normal: LED backlighting, 5 ms response time, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, two 1W speakers, and three video inputs (D-Sub, DVI and HDMI). As for the design, it consists of the usual black paint job with a standard bezel width and unadjustable stand.

Sales will start next month, in early June, but the price is still unspecified. Since this is a 21.5-inch panel, the sum shouldn't be too large.
