I-O Data released many Flash-based storage units in the past, and it is doing so again, only this time it is catering to the needs of the industrial sector instead of consumers.

The company has built the CFU-IV line of CompactFlash cards, the sort that are more about interconnection and endurance than they are about storage.

Only one model is available right now, with a capacity of 256 MB and based on TDK's GBDriver controller, for minimum write errors.

The operational temperature range is very wide (-40°C to 85°C) and the price is of $110 (82.63 Euro).

Finally, the card meets CF Type I specifications and will be followed by 128 MB, 1 GB and 2 GB versions. All of them get 1-year warranties.

If you were looking for a large-capacity, fast storage card, you might want to check out the likes of Lexar's Professional 1000x. Make sure you're rich, though.
