New type of virus distributed through emails

These days the computer security is affected by a lot of threats, no matter if they are spam messages or infected files. Now, I want to present you another infection distributed via email messages with attractive love-related names. Remember the old threats entitled Sending You My Love or The Dance of Love? Well, this one is similar but its developers created even more than that and gave multiple names to the infection. Some of the names are mentioned by F-Secuse in a security advisory: A Dream is a Wish, A Is For Attitude, Eternal Love, Eternity of Your Love, Falling In Love with You, Hugging My Pillow, Inside My Heart, Kisses Through E-mail, Our Journey or Sent with Love.

According to the security company, all the attachments are infected with Email-Worm.Win32.Zhelatin.ct and most of them are named with love-related terms. Although there are no official solutions to avoid an infection with the threats, you should avoid clicking on unknown attachments or even scan them with your antivirus solution. If you don't have a security program, install one and update its database to the latest version.

OK, let's have a quick analysis over the virus. They are all love-related but none of them was released on Valentine's Day or at least near the Easter. As you can see, the attackers are trying to find new ways to exploit Internet computers, the email attachments being one of the most dangerous techniques because they include the user's action to run the infection. Recently, the attackers were trying to exploit the threats by sending numerous email messages containing pictures and messages with celebrities, aiming to redirect the users to malicious links.
