Megan Fox, star of the two “Transformers” films, and reportedly the younger, better looking but still lacking enough experience Angelina Jolie, can boast a few pretty inane quotes so far, but that’s not the only reason why she’s getting so much media attention. According to Fox herself, speaking with the latest issue of Nylon magazine, she’s overexposed – but blames the “Transformers” PR machine for it.

It’s not her fault that she’s always in the headlines, the actress says in her own defense. It’s not her fault either that people have already grown tired of her even if she’s yet to do something to deserve at least a quarter of the exposure she’s getting now. Those who are already tired of this much Megan Fox can go ahead and blame the huge PR machine behind the Michael Bay blockbusters, the actress says.

“I think that I’m really overexposed. I was part of a movie that [the studio] wanted to make sure would make $700 million, so they oversaturated the media with their stars, I don’t want to be in magazines every week and on the Internet everyday. I don’t want to have people get completely sick of me before I’ve ever even done something legitimate.” Fox says for the aforementioned magazines.

Not that having so much of Fox is necessarily a bad thing, albeit even her most diehard fans can grow tired of her from time to time. For instance, back in July, several men-oriented magazines joined forces to call for a Boycott Megan Fox Day that was set for August 4, a day when none of their editors would write about Fox, turning their attention instead to other deserving female stars who did not get enough of the spotlight because of her good looks and the media’s obsession with her.

“You can have too much of a good thing. We’re joining in the media blackout and giving our readers a one-day reprieve from the woman we’ve been drowning in all summer.” James Bassil, editor-in-chief at Ask Men, said at the time. “Listen, we love Megan. She’s responsible for driving more eyeballs to our sites – just by getting photographed walking down the street in a white T-shirt – than any other celeb alive. It’s time to give another young actress a shot at the attention. We’re taking a one-day break from covering Megan’s latest nail polish color and instead promoting another ‘Next Big Thing.’” Eric Rogell of TheBachelorGuy also said.
