Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev recently sat down for a lengthy TV interview on very serious matters. In between takes, he also talked about Santa Claus, “Men in Black” and, yes, aliens visiting Earth on a regular basis.

Video of the segment in which he talks about the aliens is above, you know, just in case your Russian is not rusty.

For the rest of us, here’s a translation of what he said, courtesy of The Telegraph:

“Along with the briefcase with nuclear codes, the president of the country is given a special ‘top secret’ folder. This folder in its entirety contains information about aliens who visited our planet,” he said.

“Along with this, you are given a report of the absolutely secret special service that exercises control over aliens on the territory of our country... More detailed information on this topic you can get from a well-known movie called ‘Men in Black’... I will not tell you how many of them are among us because it may cause panic,” Mr. Medvedev added.

While no local network aired the outtakes, transcripts first emerged online, and then the videos followed on YouTube.

While it’s obvious that he’s joking, not few are those who have taken to online forums to say that we finally (!) have confirmation straight from the horse’s mouth that we have been contacted by alien beings, and that their visit is being kept a secret from us.
