A couple of months after introducing its latest series of PMPs, MPIO has recently introduced a brand new portable media player, dubbed Mo100. The player features the typical design that the company used with most of the media players in its portfolio.

The device sports a convenient size of 80 x 42x13.5mm, weighing no more than 45 grams. It comes hidden under a resistant blue casing. Its shape and front remind me of the iPod?which is not necessarily a bad thing either.

Besides that, the PMP comes equipped with a 1.8-inch TFT LCD screen display with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels. Regarding its capabilities, the PMP can deal with most of the file formats available on the market, such as MP3 and WMA for the audio content. In addition, the item is said to be able to offer some photo image compatibility, handling JPEG and BMP for the photo slide show option.

There are also some extra features, such as the common FM tuner, the ID3 tag support, playback for the audio files and more. No to mention this baby is also capable of recording favorite radio shows for later listening. And there is more in the technical specs list. Sadly, there is no audio and gaming functionality integrated in this electronic music player.

As for the internal memory, the MPIO device was offered various sizes of 1GB and 2GB capacity. It uses USB 2.0 interface for the file transfer and gets powered up by a single built-in 500 mAH lithium battery, enough to last for up to 12 hours of music playback.

All in all, there is nothing amazing in its design or technical specs list. However, some of us would spend about 120 bucks on it! Still, those blue shades are a little too much for me, so I'd better stick to my Samsung item.
