Now that the 2011 edition of the CeBIT expo is getting close to the present, some companies have started to give some outline to their plans for the show, and Huntkey figured it would do something of the sort as well.

The past few weeks, even with the MWC (Mobile World Congress), haven't really been that rich in news about hardware and/or PCs.

Granted, the aforementioned expo did see the release of quite a few tablets, but things still seem to be going a bit slowly, barring exceptions like the potential Intel Light Peak launch.

Anther interesting tidbit of info was that Microsoft and NVIDIA left the PC Gaming Alliance (PCGA).

Still, most PC or hardware makers have been silent, or kept activity to a minimum, possibly in anticipation of the CeBIT 2011 trade show.

The event will take place, like in any other year, in Hannover, Germany, between March 1 and March 5.

Apparently, Huntkey is one of the more eager companies, having issued a press release to outline what it has in store for the show.

Its full line of devices will include, besides 80Plus PSUs and PC cases, consumer electronics and mostly items concerned with energy efficiency.

The PSUs even got a special mention. Huntkey built a 500W 80Plus Platinum PSU, plus an 80Plus gold one, among other things, both of which feature such assets as a DC-DC module, Interleaved PFC and Phase-shifted Full-bridge, plus Synchronous Rectification.

“Each one caters to strict modern requirements for performance, efficiency and ecological safety of products, which is in accord with Huntkey's 2011 CeBIT show topic "Energy saving and Environmental Protection,” says the press release.

What remains to be seen is how well the consumer base receives these devices and if rival companies put up a good fight. Either way, answers will come next month.
