New videos emerging online show a violent side of the Huntington Beach riot that took place over the weekend.

According to NBC Los Angeles, several brawls broke out, rocks and bottles were thrown at police officers, and 18 portable toilets were capsized.

Looting took place, with one group smashing the window of a store with a street sign and making off with merchandise, including one bicycle.

Police responded by firing rubber bullets and pepper balls. A video report posted above this news blog features an interview with a witness that mentions tear gas being used against rioters.

The crowds left the pier on Mainstreet and headed downtown, some wearing bandanas across their faces.

As I mentioned before, eight people have been arrested after failing to stop rioting and clashing with police.
