Though Hollywood is still mourning and reacting to the untimely and tragic death of actor Philip Seymour Hoffman, fans of the “Hunger Games” series are worried that the upcoming film is going to be seriously affected.

According to TooFab, fans shouldn't be fretting over the future of “Hunger Games: Mockingjay,” where Hoffman played the role of Plutarch Heavensbee. In the books, Plutarch is one of the characters that becomes vital for the plot, so many fans were wondering where this leaves the film.

A person involved in the production process of the latest “Hunger Games” film has confirmed that Hoffman's work was “substantially” complete.

“Philip Seymour Hoffman was a singular talent and one of the most gifted actors of our generation,” said a statement from Lionsgate Film, the studio producing the movies. “We're very fortunate that he graced our Hunger Games family. Losing him in his prime is a tragedy and we send our deepest condolences to Philip's family,” the statement went on.

It's been reported that Seymour had only 7 days left of filming until fully completing his role in the film, so there is no danger of re-casting the role to someone else. However, it looks like his character will have to be scaled down a bit.

People also involved in the film, such as director Francis Lawrence, writer Suzanne Colling, producer Nina Jacobson and actress Jennifer Lawrence has issued a group statement which offers condolences to the family.

It's not known at this point if there is going to be a need of rewrites for the script or re-shooting of certain scenes, but the release date hasn't been pushed back yet.

Meanwhile, Hollywood is still grieving the loss of Hoffman, as more and more actors, directors, producers and other people who've worked with him are expressing their condolences. The actor died yesterday, February 2, of an apparent drug overdose.
