The Kansas City Zoo will have finished work on this exhibit this coming October

This past weekend, about 2,000 people paid the Kansas City Zoo a visit and (more or less) patiently waited in line just so that they might visit the facility's penguin exhibit.

Oddly enough, said exhibit is presently home to absolutely no penguins.

Thus, sources say that the animals are presently being kept at another animal sanctuary, and that they are to remain there until work on their Helzberg Penguin Plaza is finished.

This is expected to happen by this coming October at the latest.

Those who took the time to visit the empty penguin exhibit admit that they merely wanted to get an idea of what things would eventually look like.

The staff at the Kansas City Zoo are confident that, given the penguins' popularity amongst kids and grown-ups alike, this exhibit will turn out to be one of the most appreciated in the country.
