14 DAY TRIAL // Wanting to look like a Barbie doll come to life is a thing, and young girls and women from all over the world have been using anything from heavy makeup to plastic surgery to achieve this look. The popularity of real-life Barbie dolls has been increasing in recent years, but none can top the fame of Valeria Lukyanova, a model from Ukraine.
She is also among the first human Barbies to get attention from the international media, perhaps because she claimed (and still does) that 99% of her appearance was real, i.e. she didn’t achieve the Barbie look through plastic surgery but through makeup.
Well, after months of intense training, Barbie has a six-pack now.
Valeria wanted the body of an “Amazon Woman,” worked for it
Some time ago, Valeria wrote on social media that she was bored with how weak her body looked. Sure, she was very slender and she had the right proportions (for a human Barbie doll), but she wasn’t happy: inspired by mythology, she had decided to get the body of an “Amazon Woman.”
In the following months, Valeria hit the gym. Hard. She kept her many fans (yes, she has many) up to speed with her progress through videos and photos from the gym, and it soon became clear that she was focused on building muscle mass through weightlifting.
The results are visible in a new set of pics she posted online earlier this month, some of which you can also see in the gallery below.
If you’re among those many people who thought she looked odd before, you’re in for a surprise now: Valeria has managed to keep her strange proportions, with the tiny waistline and the small torso and large breasts, but she added well-defined muscles to them.
So now, she is both very slender and muscular, with an enviable six-pack on her abdomen. Even if you don’t like her or approve of her image, you have to appreciate how committed she is.
A new face, or just different makeup?
Valeria maintains that she didn’t have plastic surgery, except for the breast augmentation she had when she was a bit younger and she was just experimenting with this Barbie look.
Rumor online has it that she’s had a lot of work done, with some interventions more drastic than others. Apparently, she’s had ribs removed to make her waist thinner and longer, and her face completely reconstructed, in addition to lipo and other, more “common” procedures.
It doesn’t take an expert to notice that there is something very different about her face in these new photos. Last November, Valeria said she’d been attacked for no reason outside her apartment in Odessa and beaten to a pulp, posting photos of herself with a bandaged face.
This is when the rumor started that this was just a preemptive move to keep the media and her fans from learning about getting more plastic surgery on her face. If there was truth to it, the new photos are confirmation.
