Wolverine would never consider giving up meat. Hugh Jackman, on the other hand, feels that the time has come for him to embrace a more environment-friendly diet.

In a recent interview with Men's Health Magazine, the actor talked about the lifestyle changes he had to make when portraying Wolverine: working out round the clock and eating at least one steak per day.

Besides being worried about how these steaks might affect his health, Hugh Jackman fears that his Wolverine-like dietary habits are harming the environment.

“I eat one steak a day, minimum. Now I don’t know any doctors recommending a 12oz steak every day. I’m pretty sure that’s not good. And my carbon footprint is disgusting,” the actor told Men's Health, as cited by Ecorazzi.

The actor confessed that, once he was done working on the new superhero movie, he would probably go vegan.

“I think after this film I need to be vegan for a while, just as my way of giving back to the animals,” Hugh Jackman says.

Way to go, Hugh!
