Producers of the 2014 Tony Awards have announced that actor Hugh Jackman will be present on stage once again, as he returns to the role of show host.

Hugh Jackman is no stranger to the awards, having hosted them three years in a row, between 2003 and 2005. His performances on stage were so appreciated, that he was awarded an Emmy for the 2004 telecast.

It's also worth noting that Jackman also has a Tony of his own, given to him in 2004 for his performance in “The Boy from Oz.” Entertainment Weekly spoke with the producers who said, “We are thrilled that Hugh will be joining us, once again, at Radio City Music Hall to host ‘The 68th Annual Tony Awards'. Hugh is an extraordinary talent and loyal supporter of the Broadway community — whether he is on-stage or in the audience — and we are honored to have him back as host.”

If anything, it will be fun to watch Hugh perform a more mellow role after his rugged Wolverine character in the “X-Men” series. Seeing him up on the dance floor singing and dancing proves what a versatile actor he really is and showcases his wide range in terms of performance.

Jackman follows Neil Patrick Harris as the host of the previous edition of the Tony Awards. The 2014 Tonys will air live on June 8.
