And the best part is that there are no laws about it

There are guns and there are guns, and then there are BFGs. A BFG has just been produced by a man from Johannesburg, South Africa. You might know it as the Thunderlord.

One of the prime weapons in the Destiny game from Activision, the gun is huge, measuring 4 feet / 1.2 meters in length. Its girth is nothing to sneeze at either.

I have to say that when I saw the pictures I had a moment when I wanted it to be a real working piece of weaponry, just so that someone would make a video of it being fired.

Virtual effects are awesome and all, but explosions always sound and look a lot better in real life. As long as no one gets hurt, anyway.

Destiny is a science fiction MMO game, by the way, with mystic elements thrown in. Just in case you weren't familiar with it.

The Thunderlord has a 36-round drum-fed feed system and can only be obtained in-game by going through the Vault of Glass raid, or as a reward after a Crucible match.

Obviously, you won't have to go through so many make-believe adventures in real life. Just make sure that you own a printer or have access to a printing service, and get the plans at the MyMiniFactory website. A visit to imakr.com might be in order too to get the right filament. PLA based carbon fiber doesn't grow on trees, after all.
