Recently, leading provider of next-generation telecommunications network solutions Huawei has announced the launch of its next-generation mobile Wi-Fi device in Hong Kong, the Huawei-branded E583C. According to the company, the solution is meant to offer high-speed Internet connectivity to users at all times, while offering them enhanced stability when compared to previous solutions. Access to a mobile broadband network would be instantly available for any user with such as device in the pocket, the company notes.

Huawei’s first-generation mobile Wi-Fi device, the E5, set the trend in Asia for mobile Wi-Fi hot spots, and had achieved unprecedented successes around the world, including the UK, Hong Kong, and Japan. Based on the solid foundation of E5, Huawei has made further improvements in E583C’s performance and stability. With an E583C in their pockets or bags, users will be able to enjoy immediate access to mobile broadband network anytime, anywhere, without the encumbrance of cable connections,” Huawei announced.

The E583C comes with support for 3.5G HSPA networks. The device creates a personal mobile hotspot, offering users the possibility to connect a number of up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices to the 3G network. Moreover, it seems that a sixth device can also be connected via a USB cable. The device comes with a fashionable and handy design, while weighing it at only 90 grams. It sports a 1-inch color OLED display on which users would find info on network, signal strength, Wi-Fi connection status, and battery. Users can enjoy its capabilities with devices such as iPads, iPod Touchs, netbooks, laptop computers, and more.

The E583C plug-and-play device can offer data transmission speeds of up to 5.76Mbps (uplink) and 7.2Mbps (downlink). Moreover, it comes with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space. In addition to this device, the company launched the E173u USB mobile broadband modem to the market in Hong Kong. Both devices should be put on sale in Hong Kong starting with August, featuring price tags of HK$1,380 and HK$498 respectively.
