It looks like Huawei is set to take on the Indian smartphone market, as the Chinese handset manufacturer plans to launch four Android smartphones in the next two months.

Even though we already knew that Huawei intends to enter the Indian market with its Vision high-end Android smartphone, the latest hearsay confirms that the handset maker plans to announce three additional devices: Gaga, Sonic and Boulder.

According to the guys over at KnowYourMobile, citing a reliable source: “Sonic, Boulder and Gaga smartphones will be released by November. They are budget smartphones and will be priced below Rs 15,000.”

Huawei Blaze may also be released in India by November, if the rest of the smartphones are well received by customers.

Huawei's flagship Android smartphone, the Vision will be delivered with Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board and a large 3.7-inch capacitive multi-touch display.

In addition, the phone is equipped with a single core 1 GHz processor and packs 512 MB of RAM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

The second smartphone that will go live in the next few months, Huawei Sonic is powered by the same Gingerbread platform, but comes with a slightly smaller 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen display.

Furthermore, the Sonic only packs 256 MB of RAM and a low-performance 600 MHz processor, along with a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper.

The third handset that might soon land in India, Huawei Gaga comes with an older Android 2.2 Froyo on board and features a small 2.8-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen display.

Powered by a 528 MHz processor, Huawei Gaga packs 256 of RAM, a 3.2-megapixel camera and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 16 GB).

The last, but not least Huawei Boulder is another entry level smartphone that runs Google's Android 2.2 Froyo.

However, the phone stands out thanks to its portrait QWERTY keyboard. Other highlights of the phone include a 2.6-inch touchscreen display, 256 MB of RAM, built-in GPS and microSD card slot (up to 32 GB).

On related news, Huawei is expected to launch its MediaPad tablet with dual-core processor and Honeycomb, sometime in October.
