Huawei is apparently gearing up to roll out a successor for its MediaPad Youth model. So the company has updated its official website by entering the product page of the next-gen tablet for youngsters.

The producing company will probably await until MWC 2014 to officially pull the veil off the product, but until now we can still take a sneak peek at what to expect.

The Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth 2 (model S7-721u) will come bundling a 7-inch TN display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.

Power will be provided by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8x12, better known as a Snapdragon 200 (Cortex A7 CPU with four 1.2GHz cores and Adreno 320 GPU) with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage (expandable to 32GB).

The slate will run Android 4.3 out of the box with Huawei’s own unique interface-Emotion UI, but the latest KitKat build is apparently scheduled to arrive at some point in the future.

Furthermore, under the hood Huawei has packed two cameras (3MP on the back and 0.3MP in front), GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11n and a 4100 mAh battery.

Huawei claims that due to its patented power-saving technology and the Dynamic Power Management system, customers will be able to get away with using the tablet without worrying about failing battery life (they don’t actually provide a number per se).

Following the growing trend of manufacturers adding smartphone feats within tablets, Huawei gives users the possibility to make high-quality 2G/3G phone calls.

But compared to the previous model, things have been upgraded only in the processor department, hence we can expect the new tablet to come sporting a €150 / $204 price tag (for the Wi-Fi only model).

Keep in mind that this is just an estimate, as Huawei hasn't provided any official information about the price or the availability of the new tablet.
