Since Huawei P8 Lite is already available for purchase in some European countries, it would make sense for the Chinese company to introduce the better P8.

Weirdly enough, the P8 Lite went on sale before Huawei even announced the smartphone. On the other hand, the P8 which was unveiled back in April is available for pre-order in the UK only from today.

It's also worth mentioning that you won't be able to get the Huawei P8 unlocked and SIM free yet, as iD carrier, a subsidiary to Carphone Warehouse, is selling the smartphone with short- or long-term contracts.

The good news is you can grab the Huawei P8 for as low as £21.50 a month with a one-year agreement and no outright payment. For that amount, you will receive 300 minutes, 5000 text messages and 1GB of data traffic.

You can get it early if you subscribe to Carphone Warehouse's carrier

Huawei P8 is available in either black or white and ships from today, June 11. However, if you choose to get it with another carrier, then you will have to wait until June 30, as the P8 is exclusive to Carphone Warehouse until that date.

Moving on to specs, Huawei P8 is a high-end smartphone that comes with a 2GHz octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 930 processor inside, Mali-T628 MP4 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM.

Furthermore, the handset packs 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

The P8 sports a 5.2-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

On the back, there's a 13-megapixel camera with autofocus, OIS (optical image stabilization), dual-LED (dual tone) flash and full HD video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 8-megapixel camera for great selfies.

The smartphone ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system with Emotion 3.1 UI on top, and is powered by a non-removable 2,680 mAh battery.
