The Huawei MediaPad X1 was launched yesterday at MWC 2014 and now we’re getting word that tablet had already been made available in China, before the official unveiling.

For those of you who haven’t been following the story of this 7-inch tablet, the X1 comes equipped with a full HD display (1920 x 1080 pixels) and draws power from a 1.6GHz quad-core HiSilicon processor combined with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD to 32GB).

The tablet is supported by a 5000 mAh battery that should allow users to stream up to 5 movies, watch 8 stored films, access internet for 15 hours and play 125 hours of music. Check out our hands-on with the tablet right here, to get a visual idea.

The tablet is quite a steal on the Chinese market and customers will be able to grab it for just $196 / €143, GizChina mentioned. However, the slate will surely cost more when it hits the European market.
