Huawei Honor 6 Plus is a relatively new Android smartphone that made it to China in late 2014. The high-end smartphone is not yet available in other countries, though it does come with more than decent specs and a very good price.

Currently, the handset is available for purchase in China for 2,000 yuan, which is about $320 or €300 outright. Still, the Honor 6 Plus might be priced differently depending on region, so you should only use the Chinese price as guidance.

Last month Huawei announced it would finally make the Honor 6 Plus available to other countries beginning late March. The Chinese company was very precise and confirmed its high-end smartphone would be available in India this month.

Although we're already in mid-March, Huawei Honor 6 Plus hasn't received a release date for India yet. But not anymore, as FoneArena reports Huawei has just announced the Honor 6 Plus will be available for purchase in India beginning March 24.

Unfortunately, the Chinese handset maker did not confirm the price tag of the device, so we can only assume it won't cost more than Rs 20,000, which is the equivalent of the Chinese price.

Older Android 4.4 KitKat, but powerful Kirin octa-core processor

Moving on to specs, the Honor 6 Plus will come packed with Huawei's in-house Hisilicon Kirin 925 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz, which is complemented by a Mali T628-MP4 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM.

The smartphone also features either 16GB or 32GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

Huawei Honor 6 Plus sports a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. On the back, it features an 8-megapixel camera with F2.0 aperture, dual-LED flash, autofocus and full HD video recording, while in the front there's a similar 8-megapixel camera with F2.4 aperture, and Sony BSI sensor.

Software-wise, the Honor 6 Plus will ship with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box with Emotion UI 3.0 on top. No word on an Android 5.0 Lolliopop update yet.
