In early May, Chinese mobile phone maker Huawei unveiled to the world a new high-end smartphone running under Android, in the form of Ascend P7, and the handset is now available for purchase on some markets in Europe.

The mobile phone went up for grabs in France and Germany through Amazon but is set to arrive in other countries on the old continent as well before the end of this month.

To be more precise, Huawei is set to make the Ascend P7 available in the UK starting June 16, also via Amazon. In fact, the retailer is already listing the smartphone on its website, allowing users to pre-order it, should they be interested in the matter.

Today, however, users in France can grab the phone for no less than €392.68 ($534), while those living in Germany can have one for €373 ($507). In the UK, the smartphone is priced a bit higher, at £329.99 ($552/€405).

Huawei Ascend P7 looks like a great device, and the price tag it was released with is certainly helping it a lot, at least when compared to other high-end smartphones out there.

The mobile phone was released with a 5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD resolution (at a 445 PPI pixel density), as well as with a 1.8GHz quad-core HiSilicon Kirin 910T processor inside, complemented by Mali-450MP4 graphics.

The high-end handset also sports 2GB of RAM, as well as 16GB of internal memory, which can be expanded by up to 64GB of additional storage space, courtesy of a microSD memory card slot.

On the back, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel camera with auto-focus, LED flash, and full HD video recording capabilities, which is complemented by a massive 8MP front camera for taking selfies or making video calls while on the go.

The specifications list of Huawei Ascend P7 also includes LTE (Cat4, 150 Mbps downlink and 50 Mbps uplink), 3G (HSDPA, 42 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, and a built-in GPS receiver with A-GPS and GLONASS.

The phone is available for purchase in Black, with a Li-Po 2500mAh battery inside, capable of offering up to 14 hours of talk time, or up to 422 hours of standby time on 3G networks.

Huawei Ascend P7 arrives on shelves with the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system loaded on top right from the start but also sports a series of exclusive features and enhancements coming from Huawei itself.
