The Android smartphone features a price tag of Rs. 10,990 ($203 / 159 Euro)

Users in India interested in the purchase of an affordable Android-based smartphone that can deliver appealing features should have a look at the Huawei Ascend G510, which is currently up for pre-order in the country via online retailer Flipkart.

The Black version of the device went up for reservations there, featuring a price tag of Rs. 10,990 ($203 / 159 Euro), while expected to become available for purchase later this week. At the moment, it can be seen on this page on Flipkart’s website.

Made official earlier this year, after it appeared in various leaks, the device runs under Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and packs appealing specs, given its price tag.

Thus, those who choose to pre-order the Huawei Ascend G510 will enjoy a 4.5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering an 854 x 480 pixels resolution, as well as the benefits of a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8225 processor packed inside the device.

Furthermore, it arrives on shelves with 512MB of RAM, as well as with 4GB of internal memory, and with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of external storage space.

On the back, the new mobile phone features a 5-megapixel photo snapper with LED Flash, auto-focus and video recording capabilities, which is complemented by a front camera to enable users to make video calls while on the go.

As Fonearena notes, the specifications list of this device also includes support for 3G HSDPA 7.2Mbps connectivity, along with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 capabilities, built-in GPS receiver, and the usual set of sensors.

Furthermore, the Huawei Ascend G510 sports a 1750 mAh battery inside that can deliver up to 5 hours of talk time or up to 340 hours of standby time on 3G networks, measures 67 x 134 x 9.9 mm, and weighs 150 grams.
