The smartphone can be purchased for only $395 USD (320 EUR)

Chinese company Huawei have just launched the Ascend D1 3G smartphone in China. Powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform, the device can be purchased for only 2,499 yuan (395 USD or 320 EUR) outright.

Huawei Ascend D1 3G is equipped with a 1.5 GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4460 processor, which is complemented by 1GB of RAM. It has 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

The phone is only 8.9mm thick and weighs 132g (battery included). Another strong point of the Ascend D1 3G is the incredible 4.5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) capacitive touchscreen display.

There’s also an enhanced 8-megapixel rear photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, as well as a secondary front-facing camera for video calls.
