Though Anna Nicole Smith passed away more than three years ago, in February 2007, the drama that was her life continues to fascinate and, why not, be at the root of legal disputes and police investigations. Mark “Hollywood” Hatten, who dated the tragic star and, as per his own words, even had plans of marrying her, has just filed a police report against Anna’s attorney and partner in her final year Howard K. Stern, TMZ informs.

In the papers, Hatten claims Stern has taken to the Internet to intimidate him by making not-so-veiled threats at his personal safety. As we also reported a while back, Florida officials have re-opened the investigation into the death of the glamour model and actress, to determine whether any of the people from her entourage can be held responsible for her untimely death. Hatten is believed to be a witness in the case, since he shared the same house with Smith, therefore he could testify against Stern, of whom he says would constantly provide Smith with drugs.

“Mark Hatten – Anna’s ex-boyfriend – told the Greeleyville Police Department he received a ‘threatening’ message from Stern on May 3 via MySpace. In the report, it says Hatten opened up Stern’s alleged MySpace message on one of the officer’s laptops, which read: ‘You are in over your head. You are being watched. Keep a look out before everything comes crashing down, do you understand me?’ We cannot confirm if Hatten will be a witness in the Anna Nicole-related case involving Stern, but Greeleyville cops are calling the investigation, ‘Intimidation of a witness / harassment via Internet’,” TMZ writes.

We contacted Hatten for a comment on this and he says he will never rest until he proves Stern was involved in Anna Nicole Smith’s death, for which he plans to use all the proof he has gathered throughout the years. Moreover, he wants the attorney to know that, no matter the threats he makes, he (Hatten) has already taken matters in his own hands by hiring a personal bodyguard. Hatten also claims Stern tried to kill him 10 years ago by serving him with a “toxic blend of narcotics,” and that he continues to be out to get him as we speak.

“I vow to prosecute Howard K. Stern to the full extent of the law with no mercy at all! This is for anyone that has ever been threatened or intimidated by a corrupt powerful official. I believe attorney Howard Kevin Stern Esq. is trying to murder me because I know the truth about what he has done in the past. I filed a police report against HKS to show ‘proof’ to the entire world and document his actions against me… just what a sick, twisted and evil person Howard really is! After everything HKS has done to hurt Anna Nicole Smith, Daniel Wayne Smith, Jackie Hatten, my entire family and myself… it is absolutely unthinkable that he would have the nerve to personally contact me, whatsoever for any reason at all. I will sleep a lot better when HKS is in prison for life, where he belongs,” part of Hatten’s statement to Softpedia reads.

Howard K. Stern says he doesn’t even have a MySpace account, therefore he couldn’t possibly have sent the threatening message to Hatten.
