Adobe Photoshop is a powerful image editing tool that allows you to fix or alter your images in any way you like. The application is used by most industry professionals to add finishing touches to their work by taking advantage of the wide range of tools available.

If you're not a Photoshop master and want to learn more on how to perform various tasks in this amazing application, Adobe constantly adds new videos on its YouTube page, teaching you how to make the most of your pictures using Photoshop.

Recently, the Flash maker posted a small tutorial on how to use Black and White conversion within Photoshop or Camera Raw. Hosted by Photoshop Sr. Product Manager Brian O'Neil Hughes, the video will teach you two quick and easy methods to convert your photos to black and white.

The first method is to use the Black & White tool from the adjustment panel. This option will instantly convert your image to B&W and, at the same time, it allows you to modify different color channels to get the desired effect.

If you want to use Camera Raw, you have to select an image in Bridge and press Ctrl+R (Command+R) to open it in Camera Raw. From there you have to choose the Grayscale option from the tools menu, press Convert to Grayscale, and your image will be instantly converted to black and white.

The difference between this tool and the Black and White one in Photoshop is that, using Grayscale, you can adjust the tonalities of two color channels at the same time, giving you even more control over your image.

That being said, check out the video below to learn more about Black and White conversion and how you can use these simple tools to add a unique look to your images in Adobe Photoshop or Camera Raw.
