Those of you who got themselves one of Apple's iPhones, as well as Motorola's original DROID will be happy to find that it is possible to sync both your smartphones using Apple's iTunes software. This guide will enable users to keep their music library in sync for both devices.

First of all you will need a special software called iTunes Agent, which is compatible with desktop PCs running Windows XP, Vista or 7.

Those using a Mac will be able to sync their Motorola DROID with iTunes with the help of another piece of software dubbed “iTuneMyWalkman.”

After downloading the iTunes Agent (or “iTuneMyWalkman”), assuming you already have iTunes on your desktop PC, install it and run it in the background. There will be a small icon near the clock that will indicate that iTunes Agent is active.

The next step requires connecting the Motorola DROID smartphone to the computer using an USB cable and „mounting” it. You will need to create a new folder named „Music” or whatever name you wish to use, directly on your mobile phone.

Right click on the iTunes Agent icon next to the clock and choose Preferences. Click the New option and name your device as you wish. It is recommended to leave any other options untouched.

Make sure you set the „synchronize to” option to iTunes and then proceed further by clicking the Choose button and then the Music folder that you previously created on the Motorola Droid device.

The last step of the procedure is to choose the Create option and click on the Music folder created on the DROID device. Save your work and then choose Close.

The next time you launch the iTune app under the MyDevice playlist folder you should be able to see the DROID. To add more songs to your DROID device simply drag and drop any file from the main library and the songs will be synchronized.

After you finished setting up the playlist, right click on the iTunes tray icon and click on the Synchronize Device button and you will have your own DROID playlist.
