These predators used to behead their victims, paleontologists say

Those who happen to be familiar with dinosaurs and what they used to look like probably know that Triceratops had a rather impressive frill made of bone and keratin which was most likely specially designed to protect the animal's fleshy neck.

However, it seems that the T.Rex somehow managed to get around said frill and make sure it had access to the meat found right beneath it.

Thus, a study only recently published in the journal Nature states that, according to several paleontologists, the T.Rex used to behead its victims.

“It's gruesome, but the easiest way to do this was to pull the head off,” specialist Denver Fowler said.

Apparently, the researchers reached this conclusion after several of the triceratops bones they examined displayed bite marks and scarring.
