Windows 8 tablets don’t usually come with keyboards, so you’ll have to rely on buttons

Owners of Windows 8 tablets might be familiar with this particular inconvenience. Since most of the slates come without bundling a dedicated keyboard, how can one do ALT+CTRL+DEL?

It’s actually not that complicated, you’ll just have to press and hold the physical Windows Start button on the tablet and, while you’re at that, push the device’s power button too.

Most of us doing ALT+CTRL+DEL on a Windows 8 tablet are probably trying to access Task Manager. If you follow the instructions above, the Task Manager option will pop up.

If you want to manage some of the tablet’s apps, services, disk, RAM, or network usage via Task Manager, you can do so by directly launching the program.

You can do this by either entering Desktop mode, pressing, holding (for a sec) ,and releasing the Windows Start button in the lower-left part of the screen. You should be seeing a pop-up menu arrive, with the Task Manager option attached to it.

Another way is, while in Metro or Desktop, to swipe left from the right side of the screen. Tap the Search option and simply type Task Manager. The option should appear.

You might want to consider creating a shortcut for Task Manager on the Task Bar, Desktop, or Start screen if you access the option often.
