From your own iGoogle

Google recently debuted a new function for the recently-renamed Google Personalized Homepage that allows you to share your content with friends or any other Internet user. The "Share this tab" feature allows you to send your gadgets to any other Google registered member by entering only his email address. Then, the other user will receive a Gmail message, including a link, to allow him to customize the elements that will be included into his own version of iGoogle. The function is especially useful for the ones that are looking for a simple solution to migrate their settings from an account to another, without loosing time to reconfigure the Personalized Homepage.

The most interesting element of this new feature is that the service generates a random link that will include all your settings. As I said, the URL will be included in the email message sent to your friend. Supposing that you want to keep the link for later use, it's extremely easy to copy and pass it to any other Internet user without having to email him.

Google Personalized Homepage is currently one of the most popular solutions powered by the Mountain View company because it allows users to configure their own Google page and place several gadgets to obtain instant access to their services. Recently, the product was renamed into iGoogle, a codename that made us think about Apple, the Cupertino company that owns several products with the "i" prefix such as iPod, iMac and iPhone.

However, iGoogle is an interesting way to access most of the Google services including YouTube, News, Calendar and Gmail from a single interface without having to browse all of them. Also, you can set the page as your default website in the web-browser to access all your Google solutions in a matter of seconds.
