14 DAY TRIAL // Celebrities love to play dress-up. Whether their idea of a Halloween costume means wearing underwear for outerwear, or they truly invest a lot of time and effort into it, they always manage to put on quite a show.
This year was no different, of course.
Some of the biggest stars out there (Kate Hudson and Heidi Klum among them) threw exclusive Halloween parties, which means celebrities came out with their best costumes on to wow the other guests and, indirectly, the media and the people at home.
Granted, some didn't even bother and came in their regular clothes, but it's not them we want to talk about.
As usual, Heidi Klum managed to amaze and shock everybody with her choice of costume: she's never the one to do for minuscule, trashy outfits, choosing instead elaborate ones, even if they render her unrecognizable.
This year, she went as a skinless cadaver with all her anatomy on full display. She was wheeled in on the red carpet on a stretcher by a bloody doctor-type, and then happily posed for pictures.
The fact that the paint used on the upper part of her body also had a shine to it only made the costume more believable, as if the skin had just been ripped off the flesh minutes before.
Kim Kardashian also scored major points this year with her Poison Ivy costume. Usually, she chooses very revealing, tacky and unoriginal outfits, but this was truly great.
Not only was the detailing on her dress very elaborate, but she also opted for a mask of sorts and bright red hair (a wig), while also showing off her infamous curves and killer body.
AnnaLynne McCord of “20910” was also looking quite dashing, in a Marie Antoinette getup, complete with a white wig, excessive makeup.
Unfortunately, the costume was missing the bottom half, as McCord opted for the short skirt – and didn't even bother to put on white pantyhose.
Nicole Richie and Jennifer Love Hewitt looked amongst celebrities for inspiration: one went as Jenny from the Block Jennifer Lopez (and totally pulled it off), while the other and her latest beau imitated the most famous couple in the world, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.
For a plus of believability, Love and her man also had babies dangling from the most unexpected place, from her purse and his pockets, to one hanging tight on his leg.
Last but not least, Gwen Stefani. Word has it she usually doesn't care too much to come up with an interesting costume, but, this year, she broke the mold, rocking an insane Cinderella outfit.
Caked in silly makeup (blue eyeshadow, pink blushes and pink lipstick), Gwen completed her look with countless strings of pearls and a hilarious updo, topped by a tiara.
