The folks working at the YouTubeplex worked on the online video sharing platform and recently rolled out several improvements for their technology. If you didn't hear the news, the parent company already debuted a new comment system, similar to the one used by Digg, which allows you to rate the messages posted on any video. This is a very useful function if we analyze the amount of spam posted in the comments of YouTube's vids but some of the viewers might abuse and harm the system. However, there are numerous other updates introduced in YouTube. For example, you're now able to search for a clip straight into a channel, without having to look for it on the entire and the huge database owned by YouTube.

"Want to see who else on YouTube found the video you're watching to be worthy of adding to a playlist? If that video has been included on other playlists you can scroll through them in the new "Other playlists containing this video" area, located underneath the "Related Videos" list on the watch page," the YouTube team wrote about a new function, codename "Playlists".

Another improvement concerns your own YouTube channel, enabling the page to show your visitors the last five videos rated by you. The function is disabled by default but, if you want to enable it, you must go over to the 'Channel Design' menu in your profile and check the 'Videos Rated Box' option.

Also, the YouTube team completely redesigned by the Video Toolbox, tries to make it more user-friendly and attractive for the members of the service. "This page has been completely redesigned. It is not only more user-friendly (we hope), but also it showcases a whole slew of videos and articles containing helpful tips related to all aspects of creating videos. Whether you're looking to make something basic or a super snazzy finished product, our revamped Video Toolbox will guide you along the way."
