Honeycomb Beat was available only on Nintendo until now, but, as it usually happens with popular games, it tries to expand to other gaming environments too. A version for mobile phones has just been released and is already receiving credits.

The Honeycomb Beat puzzle proves to be captivating and challenging, as the gamer needs to focus in order to finish it. At first, the displayed honeycomb has two colors: grey and honey yellow.

The challenge of the game consists in making an entire honeycomb reach the same grey color. This can be done by taping comb panels in order to make them change color. The trouble is that the adjacent panels also turn grey and all in a limited number of tries. In order to complete the puzzles, the player must take into account at least two possible moves in advance, or else he will waste his tries.

The 200 levels of Honeycomb Beat may even prove to be insufficient, as the game is highly addictive. Furthermore, there are two game play modes that will make sure that the gamer doesn't get bored even after it masters the moves and concept of the game. Honeycomb Beat can be played in Puzzle Mode, where tiles have to be flipped until they all reach the same color or Evolution Mode that pressures the gamer to flip lines of honeycombs and make them disappear as they move to the top of the screen.

Gaming results come in the form of placing the player somewhere on the evolution line, from a jellyfish to a neohuman, depending on how good the results are.
