The season finale of TLC’s new hit reality series, “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” a spinoff of sorts of “Toddlers and Tiaras,” will offer yet another look at the life of Alana Thompson and her colorful (for lack of a better word) family.

Below is the new video released by the network to promote it.

Alana (Honey Boo Boo, for the uninitiated), her mother June Shannon, her dad Sugar Bear and her sisters must take part in a family photoshoot.

They’re all dressed up in their best clothes – except for Sugar Bear, who describes himself as a more casual type of guy – and styled like never before, with the ladies of the house with their hair and makeup done professionally.

Shannon uses the opportunity to preach on beauty and how it has nothing to do with weight or the clothes you wear.

“Beauty comes from within. If you've got a great personality and everything, then it shines through to the outside,” she says.

“It doesn't matter. Big, small, little... beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Skinny, fat, it don't matter,” Alana’s mother further says.

Though the shoot starts off on a good footing, it eventually gets worse. It’s 101 degrees outside and Alana is starting to show her moody side.

She first takes the water bottle from her mother’s lips, and then complains that “the heat drains me.” Honey Boo Boo then proceeds to vigorously rub her eyes and smear the mascara and eyeshadow all over her face.

June isn’t doing any better either. “Man, I'm taking a bath in my own sweat,” she says, adding that she’s sweating “like a [expletive] in church.” Here’s that for a mental picture.

“Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” is the latest reality series from TLC to incite as much controversy as solid ratings for the network.

Check out the video below to see why, assuming you don’t know already.
